Madeline is a theatre artist and writer from the Chicago suburbs. A senior at Miami University, Madeline is constantly seeking out new projects that connect her two passions: theatre and journalism. With a knack for creativity, a curious mind and a will to help others, Madeline strives to find the truth by way of interviews and investigative reporting that she can then share with the world through writing and performance.

Madeline was born in Bloomington, IL and moved to Aurora, IL shortly after, where she grew up with her loving parents and two younger sisters. She attended Waubonsie Valley High School and was involved in plays, musicals, choir, orchestra and the speech team, while still graduating with over a 4.0 GPA. Madeline advanced to the IHSA state speech competition in her senior year in prose reading, and also competed at the state level as an assistant director for contest drama her sophomore year.

Currently, Madeline is studying theatre and journalism at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She is the president of The Walking Theatre Project, a social activist theatre troupe, the vice president of Alpha Psi Theatre Honors Society and a senior editor for The Miami Student newspaper. Madeline is an honors student and is also a member of the Creative Arts Scholars program. She has participated in intensive Holocaust research through the Undergraduate Summer Scholars Program, which will culminate in a production of a new play she has been working on in the last year. She is also a Geoffrion Fellow for the 2018-2019 school year, studying with a cohort of fellow students and professors as a part of the Humanities Center Altman Program. Last summer was working as a breaking news intern at The Cincinnati Enquirer.

Madeline will graduate in May 2019 from Miami University with degrees in journalism and theatre.
